Willow Energy was founded in 2004 by two experienced Scottish Engineers; Howard Crooks and Allan Reilly. The inspiration for the name Willow Energy came from “Wind in the Willows”. Willow’s main focus from the beginning is to make the world a better and cleaner place by focusing on clean energy. Willow’s first office was in the Lincolnshire Fens, an area which has strong historical links with the Netherlands. As well as its first location there is another strong link between Willow and the Netherlands : the Netherlands has always been one of the pioneers in utilizing wind energy and today Willow Energy’s main business is built around the WES18 and WES30 wind turbines, both Dutch wind turbines. Willow Energy moved to a base in Glasgow in Jan 2007 to develop projects in Northern UK where the wind resource is best. We have recently moved to a new office at Eurocentral between Glasgow and Edinburgh with good transport links throughout the UK. |
